DerBlödeDritteMittwoch presents contemporary avant-garde art in an informal setting for a broad audience in the form of a monthly event series. It focuses in particular on the genres of [experimental] music, media art, performance, video and related art forms.

*** krst// Adina Camhy [Concert]

Adina Camhy is interested in the pressing questions of our time, in technology, history and memory, in peripheries and glimpses beneath surfaces. Camhy researches, deconstructs and remixes. Her work spans across various media such as sound, video and visual arts. In her music she interweaves electronics, field recordings, voice and effects, creating subtle, alienated and eery fragmented soundtrack-like soundscapes between noise, ambient, drone and industrial. Camhy's current work process focusses on the rugged landscape of the carst / krst / karst in the Capitalocene. Violent human practices are stored in the area in the form of traces, incisions and memories: remnants of wars, extraction, trade routes. krst constructs thread figures between human- and non-human narrations, incidents of a present, echoes of a past and a future yearning for a utopia of solidarity.

Leo Riegler liest aus seinem neu erschienenem buch und begleitet sich selbst mit ein wenig musik.

*** Sinder und Sünnstifter // Sinnthese [Concert]

As “Sinnthese” Jakob Henneken plays nervous synth pop that looks wistfully at the harsher edge of electronic music. Trivial-radical lyrics and fragmentary sounds between sound art and the avant-pop of NDW. Last April, the debut album “Sünder und Sinnstifter” was released, which is newly arranged, edited, and nervösifiziert for DerBlödeDritteMittwoch.

Henneken was born in Hamburg and is currently studying experimental and electroacoustic music in Vienna. Vinyl release on Felix Kubin's label Gagarin Records with the intermedia project “Die Nebenwirkung”, as well as a series of releases via Storage Records (DE) and Stanze Fredde (IT).
