Zur Rettung der Blasmusik

Threatened, slandered, disparaged and forgotten from all sides: good old brass band music. Where can you still hear the playful horn, where can you still hear the lovely tuba? Where can you still hear the brave trombones blaring? Three performers with relevant brass band experience set out to save music. They haven't thought about exactly how they will do this, but now that they are here, they want to save something, whether familiar or foreign, whether high culture or folk culture. With alternating bass for mutual understanding, or something like that.

A piece for all those who have escaped the countryside and its confines, who are now freeing themselves from staid traditions in the city, and at the same time for those for whom this part of community and traditional cultural life is important. A humorous take on an Alpine passion: club life.

Bum Bum Pieces (AT) is a theatre collective founded in 2019 by Simon Windisch and Nora Winkler. It stands for atmospheric, musical theatre evenings and a choice of themes that seeks intersections between generations, milieus and traditions, while repeatedly celebrating the beauty of the small and everyday. The productions are made for the metaphorical backyard, and gladly so, because it is there that people who would not otherwise meet can come together.
